About Us

Koha kenya is an Association of information managers, librarians and Information Technology specialists whose main goal is to foster the diffusion of open source technology in libraries and Information Centers across Kenya. Emphasis is laid on Koha as the Integrated Library of choice because of its standard features and ability to enable greater co-operation and sharing of information resources.

As at October 2003, Koha Kenya is under a caretaker committee mandated to increase the number of institutions and members within this network even as the society lays down a strategy to penetrate other parts of the country to popularize open source for libraries.
